Government’s Involvement in Preparing Future Indonesian Film Industry Through Their Educational and Funding Programs

The Ministries of Cultural and Education has launched several programs that aim to nurture and support emerging filmmakers. The Directorate General of Film, Music, and New Media division has been working together with stakeholders in the film production industry to educate young filmmakers by organizing several intensive programs for aspiring writers, producers, and directors.

This session the speaker will tell their experience on how eventually the ministries decide to focus on film as part of their educational program. This program also gives them more space to share about their future programs and how their program can benefit emerging filmmakers in the future bot financially and educationally.
